“5/5 - We have 100% trust in DJ with our boy, she has this insanely calm energy about her and I think Sunny reacts so well to it! We will always use her for walks, future pet sits etc, we appreciate how she always keeps us updated with photos and videos! x”
— Cassie, Google “Milo absolutely loves his walks with Djamila! He is always excited to see her and comes back happy, relaxed, and well cared for.
Dj is reliable, friendly, and clearly has a genuine love for dogs. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to take care of their furry babies 🐶 🐾”
— Anna T, Google“A change in working patterns meant we needed to find our Labrador Beau an adventure buddy twice a week. We were a little apprehensive as Beau can be really nervous of certain things, but we needn’t have worried as Dj has created the most special bond with Beau in just one week. She has been really patient, caring & kind & it has paid off massively. Beau absolutely adores her, she comes home really content & fulfilled & it’s giving her confidence a real boost. We get regular updates on the walk with photos & videos, & communication is a breeze. Thank you so much Dj”

MEET DJ
Hi, I’m Djamila - but most people call me Dj.
I’m the human behind Hang-Ten Hounds: a Newquay-based dog walking and pet sitting service for dogs who need adventure, structure and genuine care.
I keep things personal, calm and safety-led - from carefully matching dogs in groups to choosing routes around weather, tides, temperament and energy levels.
And yes, the old Land Rover is part of the adventure too.

We’re spoilt for choice here in Newquay; beaches, coastal paths, woodland trails… all the good stuff! 🌊🌿
Each walk is chosen based on the weather, tides, safety and what suits the dogs in the group that day.
The aim is always the same; a safe, fun-filled enriching adventure walk that gives your dog proper exercise, stimulation and fun so they come home happy, content and tired.
-
Only where it’s safe, appropriate and agreed with you first.
Dogs are always on lead around roads, car parks, livestock and busy public areas. Off-lead time takes place in safe locations, with your permission, and where recall is reliable.
For dogs still learning recall - long lines can be used so they can enjoy their Newquay adventure walks safely in company, while still having freedom to explore.
-
I cover up to a 5-mile radius outside of postcode TR7 2HY!
